ZA1E Albanian station's card came via direct. I sent my QSL and SASE to Italian mail drop of him. Mail drop sent him my QSL and envelopes, but postal fee sent via bank. It is told that this is the safe method of sending postal fee.

In morning North and South America opens, then open area moves to west time by time. In near evening Europe opens, after hours of sunset signals fade out.

Contacts are whole areas of USA and North America, Panama, Grenada, Brazil, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, and European countries, and few contacts with Africa.

G4CGG England, with him I had QSO this September on 20m band CW. He said that this is a first QSO from "7N" call sign. So he requests my QSL via direct, I replies just today.



KI6FEN USA, contacted also this September on 10m band CW. The day when we had QSO was "great day for 10m ! solar flux @ 190 SFU !" he wrote.

We contacted this September on 20m band CW, his card arrived quickly and I reply just the day.

This picture is very interest where there are four cascaded reservoirs. It is written UNESCO world heritage. They are built by miners around 1570 era for water wheel plants of mining industry, he writes.

10m band opens to North America this morning and evening to Europe

At this morning 0700-0900JST(2200-2400UT) 10m band opens to North America. Now solar flux activity climbs to high level, X-ray flux level is bottom C level, peaks often M level and very often X level.

Also this evening about 1730-1900JST(0830-1000UT) 10m band 0pens to Europe. GM,F,EA6,DL,PA,OK,SV,I,YL and SP are contacted with me, TNX !

When solar activity is high, high bands open to world wide. Cycle 24 seems to up really ?

15m band opens for Europe in these days at 0700 to 0930 UT. I contacted with EA6, I, 5B, TK, F, EX, UK, YO stations. South Europe may be well.

Other passes opens for Asia and Pacific, nearby areas.

This card came via Direct. We contacted this June on 20m band CW, this is the his first getting of Japan, he said.

His QTH is GENT, there is a watering boy except it of Brussels whose photograph seems right side of this card.

10m band opens to worldwide

Sunspot number rise to over 50 everyday this April. 10m band begin to open to worldwide.

I had QSOs with stations of North and South America, Australia, Asia and Europe.

Sunspot number of March was 56.2, cycle 24 condition seems to rising surely.

17m band opens to US east coast

In these days 17m band opens to US east coast. Contacted states are Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania and North Carolina.

My antenna of 17m band is poor, about 13m long wire and ATU. This antenna is using for 80m, 160m and 12m bands too.

Often 10m band opens to North and South America, contacted USA, Paraguay and Brazil.

Now solar activity seem to low, but at behind of Stereo satellite observatory, next sunspots will be come here side. Then activity will rise again.

Thank You Very Much anxiety for earth quake and tsunami

In the QSOs I caught many anxieties for Japanese earth quake and tsunami, thank you very much from my hart deeply.

At my QTH quaked level 4 (Japanese scale 1 - 7), no damages. But Tohoku (north east area of Japan) attacked severe very much, over 10,000 people maybe dead. Outer structure of Atomic power station was broken by hydrogen explosion, from lost control of reactor cooling.

North part of our Nagano prefecture, other earth quake occurred M6 class next morning. Maximum quake level was 6+. Some people injured and houses broke and rail way was damaged. At my QTH was level 3, no damages.

At now sometimes I feel quakes little yet.

X1.6 Big Solar flare -- HF shut down !!

It happens big X1.6 solar flare 2246UT, 9th march. HF condition is blackout for about 40 minutes.

In this time I contacting North and South America stations at 15m band CW, suddenly all signals fade out.

Then I look web page of solar activities, it reports big solar flare data in just real time.

Now solar activities rises, sunspot number is over 100 in these days. Are Cycle 24 conditions ups ?

My Equipment Collection (6) -- HEATHKIT VTVM

I have a Vacuum Tube Voltmeter (VTVM). I assembled this HEATHKIT IM-18 kit on 1970 era. Even now this meter works well.

Now I have this IM-18 assembly manual and HEATHKIT catalog of January 1974 edition.

SP200BCA Chopin Year 2010 Card Arrived

Chopin was born 1810, so 2010 was 200th Memorial year. This is card of Memorial station SP200BCA.

I also contacted another Memorial station SO0CHOPIN, but this card not arrived yet.

HB0/DJ2IA Principality of Liechtenstein, we contacted 02/July of 2010 at 30m band CW. This card came via bureau. This is my first confirmation of Liechtenstein.

Tiny countries in Europe, not contact yet are Andorra and Vatican, confirmed are San Marino, Monaco, Malta, Luxembourg and this Liechtenstein.
